Behringer input cables
I just got my b2031a's, and was wondering what everyone else was using for input cables from your gnx4/gnx3k.
The behringer manual suggests Balanced 1/4 TRS or Balanced XLR.
Will a regular instrument cable (TS) do? Or will the TRS or XLR make a huge difference?
Between 1/4 TRS and XLR, is there a biff difference? XLR's seem to be a lot more expensive.
Any recommendations? Any particular brand?
Thanks.

TRS and XLR are balanced. This technique helps eliminate a lot of noise issues. It is really most helpful when there is noise generated by using unbalanced connections, such as TS.
Beyond that, you won't see a difference. If your TS connections are quiet, you won't experience a problem. If you are doing it now, and you don't hear excessive hum or anything like that, then you'll be ok.
Hope that makes sense.
This is all new to me. I've been using a Pandora PX4 for the last few years with regular instrument cables. It does get noisy sometimes, especially since I practice watching TV a lot. I never really knew about balanced/unbalanced cables before (sorry guys, I don't get out much!
I'm I correct in assuming XLR cables will give me more connectivity options (i.e.: PA systems, Mixing boards, etc ...) than TRS?
And from GNX3k to amp, balanced does not matter since amp inputs are not balanced right?
Sorry for the ignorance and thanks for the help guys.

The guy had great prices (2x15' for $46.50 shipping included) and his feedback was 100%
My GNX should be here on Tuesday, and hopefully the cables by Friday.
Can't wait!
Thanks for the help.
