USB mixer

I have been considering getting a mixer for my small DAW setup, but I can't seem to find out whether or not I can record more than 1 track at a time with that type of setup or not. I would like to be able to record 2 singers at once, or mic an entire drumkit, and have each singer ( or individual drum ) appear in Sonar as its own track. If anyone knows anything about these USB mixers, I would appreciate any input, thanx.

    You are probably better off with a Firewire type unit. At least 8ch's. Be sure it offers simultaneous recording. Firewire is much better than USB and has less and less issues. Firewire bandwidth is better to accommodate DAWS.

    Alesis has a new one, Presonus, and high end RAE stuff. many like the Alesis mixers in many recording forums, but it does vary. You should look at a few in your price range and then compare. List the units if you need more input from the groups.
