Recent upload problems.

Hey there everyone,

Over the last couple of days I've been trying to upload a recording and have failed each time. My file is in mp3 format etc (same as my other uploads) so that shouldn't be an issue so I'm wondering is anyone else also having problems? When I go to upload it doesn't seem to connect at the Digitech end so maybe they are fixing something. Its been a while since I uploaded anything so has anything changed in the process or am I doing something wrong???

Any help is appreciated.

Hey BBoo,
Tell you what I had a problem with that before & was very frustarting!! Tell you what mine turned out to be. The Bit rate that you render the MP3 at make sure that is fairly Low I think I set mine at like 128K anything higher than that fails & will not upload?? So take your mix render again a MP3 & try lower Bit Rates to render it at & see if it fix's your problem? Did mine 8) Hope that helps

I can't upload anything over 90k anymore.

No changes that I'm aware of. You're talking about the SoundComm upload area?

Thats right, its the SoundCom upload page I'm talking about. When I click to upload, the small window with the moving yellow bar comes up but it won't take any data. It will just stay like that until the page expires. I think I might try re-converting the WAV to mp3 and I will also check the bit rate - thanks for the suggestion Partch

Sometimes that bar stays up after the upload is finished. Are you sure the files never actually make it to the server?

Well there's nothing indicating its been uploaded on the soundcom page so I guess it hasn't made it. I don't think it is actually connecting to the server in the first place for some reason. I was certain the mp3 was at 128 bit rate - is the the server sensitive to this?

I just did it and it worked. Can you specify what browser you're using (including version), and what kind of Internet connection?

I've had this happen before..It was my firewall on my computer..Had to disable it and all went well after that..

Sorry I haven't replied for quite a while - I had the sh_ts with this uploading problem and had to leave it for a while. The browser I am using is Explorer version 6 and its running with broadband. Its definitely not my firewall settings as I have nothing set to block uploads at all. The stupid thing is I have uploaded stuff before and its worked fine. I just can't understand why now all of the sudden it won't upload to the Digitech site!!Its got me stuffed - I might just record something else and try uploading that instead.

If you try uploading a file with a low bit rate it will work 100%, I tried to upload something the otherday and it didn't work, the bit rate was at 96.

If I try the same file again but mixdown to 64 it would work for sure.

I've re-converted the mp3 at a 64 bit rate and tried to upload again - still didn't work. It just doesn't seem to want to connect to the upload site at all.
