Just watched a video on YouTube and I stand corrected. I haven't seen them since Day on the Green when they were touring the Ride The Lightning album. Saw them in some small clubs back in the day. I was in the Marine Corps when this album came out (was at ITS if I remember correctly) and never got a chance to see this tour.
Does James also do the intro to Sanitarium then? This is one of the CDs lost when mine all got jacked. This'll be high on the recoup list if not just to read the liner notes.
Hey man.. great.. do you know what set up for the IPS I need to use to the interval solo? i guess is a 3rd up in a G Major scale.. but not sure.. help please!
It's actually an E harm min although there is a D in there a time or two, it's better to hit the D# in place of the D than to hit the D in place of the D#. I'm not sure how you would set the IPS though it doesn't make sense to me yet.
I would say stick with E harmonic minor, and 3rd up. I can't picture this in my head, but that might cause problems when you hit the actual D (not part of E harmonic). Try both? Maybe have a footswitch assigned to scale change - in Momentary mode, it would be harmonic minor, otherwise it would be aeolian (natural) minor; hold the footswitch for just those parts where you want the D#.
