Sleeping With The Enemy

I was just messing around with a song a buddy and I wrote about 10 years ago.
Let me know what you think.

Used the GNX 4 for the guitars and Bass and threw in some eq and vst's in sonar.

Jamstix on the drums, and me doing everything else.....

Enjoy :)

  • Pretty darn cool there man 8) What do you think of Jamstix? I evaluated the Demo just could not get the free Jam stuff playing with me that graet? There would have been a lot of manuel clean up  So I did not end up buying it. Just wondered what you think of it & how you use it? Sounded great to me!! :D

    God Bless!!

Thanks.. I really like jamstix, I play drums too, but not as well as it does! You definitely have to mess around with it to get it to sound like you want though. This track I got pretty lucky and did the free jam a few times, then changed a few fills and added the ending... probably did the whole drum track on this song in about 20 minutes.... I have had others where I did have to do a lot of editing though....
  • Oh heck yeah! Thats just got a classic vibe to it man! Dare I ask what influences you have putting that song together???
To me it sounds like the sort of song The Darkness would put together and thats not a bad thing at all! Very cool 8)

  • good tune!! Obviously you know my EX!! LOL :)
  • Thanks for checking it out... glad you could relate to it 8) I am not really sure what influences were at work in this song, I am sure The Darkness is mixed in there somewhere. This is one of those songs that starts out as a simple chord progression with singing over the top (which it still is) and We just keep adding stuff to it.... I guess it will always be a work in progress that never gets finished.... did I just channel Nigel Tufnel?
  • Cool tune! 8) If I were to pick an influence that I heard, I'd say it's Kiss. No song in particular.
