Oye Coma Bababoey

<div style="displaynone">fiogf49gjkf0d</div>I have always been a big fan of Carlos. Love his sound, style phrasing and melodic leads. Wish I had a fraction of his talent.

Played on my PRS custom 24

  • Oh man, your killin me here....I had this song on a 45 in 1970....my friends busted my ballz for listening to Carlos.....along with \"Change your Evil Ways\" and \"Black Magic Woman\".....I had no idea what oye como va
meant or what they were singing about (and didn't care)....I just knew it was unique and the guitar RIPPED....and you just modernized it exceptionaly
  • Mr. bababoey!!! That was top notch my friend! Really tasty improvising, and you nailed the tone. Really nice sounding mix as well. Since we're both in MD, maybe you could come over here and learn me how to do that

You Rawk this sounds great :!:

    usless trivia:
 My buddy Mark ran the stage recording for carlos 2 years ago on his tour!
I had no idea, hes a real quite guy not like me  One day he came to work and told me he got another job. it was only for about a year but it paid...ok reeeeealy well. he was going to go on tour with Carlos and run his stage recording mix. He likes to record all of his live shows. Turns out Mark was not just a wiz with Cisco stuff. He was a recording engineer in FLA. and used to build studios for a liveing! go figure. So off he went ...we got free tickets when he came to town that year. I so dig Carlos and his cool groove. just thought I would share my useless Carlos trivia.
  • Awesome job! What a great tune! Those PRS really do sing well. 8)

  • Wait a minute…You covered SRV and now Carlos…Man, that is pretty amazing…How the heck did you get the background? Superb job in capturing the phrasing…I don’t want to show my age but I did make the 1969 Woodstock in NY and Santana played the second day. I know it sounded great then (I might not have been totally coherent!) and I sure enjoyed your version. :):):)
  • Wow, bababoey, simple outstanding, Lovin that Santana. I am also curious where you got the backing track.
  • <div style="displaynone">fiogf49gjkf0d</div>Kirkbauer and Bluegator....
The backing track I got from guitarbt.com

great site and some great bakcing tracks.

Love Carlos. Got to see him in the early 80's dead center , front row at the pier in Manhattan. I was so close I could smell his incense buring on the stage. I liked his music since I was 10. My daughter was able to recognize Santana at age 4! That's my girl!!
