Gotta love Pro Tracks Plus!

Man...love this software...just discovered that it allows you to mix down all tracks to two tracks so you can eq each track a little different...

Check it out....

  • I wish I DID love my PTP...but using it makes me feel like a 14 year old trying to impress Jenna Jameson. :?

    :?: :?: :?:  :?
  • Meaning...despite it's terrific capabilities, it requires considerable resources and hardware, and is complicated beyond what I can handle. I'd prefer a better balance between function and usability. Like with women...

Women! I can at least figure out the PTP!

My PC is at least 3 years old and I don't have any issues running it. I think the program is pretty simple and straight forward...easier to use than Cool Edit Pro
  • I wouldn't go as far as to call it straight forward, but it's reasonably user-friendly if you're pretty 'puter-capable. My problem is performance issues; I have a recent, very powerful puter, but I've tweaked and diddled and adjusted 'til the cows come home, and it still doesn't work for s**t. So I have once again sort of given up on it, as I prefer to spend my limited spare time playing, rather than jerking off my computer. :?
  • Hey nice jam there man 8) Did you do this one at Midnight? Just wondering you know the name & all  I liked the leads in this one you had some interesting phrasing 8) Hey bud as far as PTP Software deffinetly cool until you need some VST plugins for EQ or compression & such. You have to buy the VST adaptor program for 60 bucks to use that stuff  I liked it to until I tried Sonar  Sonar is much better & you sure don't need the VST adaptor program to use plugins with it. Besides PTP is just trimmed down unsupported version of Sonar anyhow. If you love PTP- You would flat out adore Sonar & some of the better recording tools out there :D Just my 2 cents. Great job though man!!

    God Bless!!

    I second that :)

Still no match for having Mutt Lange come over and mix your tunes while his hott wife (Shania) rubs your feet... :P

Thanks. Yeah...it was pretty late when I did that.

I don't really want to spend any more money on what I have so far so I doubt I will go that route...but can you do the hands free recording thing with the Sonar vsersion?
  • Nice tone on the guitars, maybe just a bit too much reverb, but still good.
IMHO, the drums get lost in the mix when the lead tracks kick in. I'd try to bring them up a bit and EQ some more bottom end for the kick drum.
    Just my .02 cents

    P.S. Sonar Rocks
