Pickup The Pieces

http://www.expertdesign.cc/demo/

I did a quick take of \"Pickup The Pieces\" by the Average White Band and put distorted guitar where the horns would be and threw a solo in the middle. It's sloppy but it was fun. Still learning how to record and get good bass sounds from my LesPaul. I used a bass patch I made along with Drag & Drop Drummer Lite with a 57' Tweed patch and the solo patch that comes with the GNX3.

  • I almost forgot if you have been to the page before you may need to refresh your browser so \"Pickup The Pieces\" will show up under the Demo Songs section.
  • Hey Brian cool tune 8) Nice little jam you had going there :D I'm not firmiliar with the tune, but I enjoyed what you did there!! Did not sound to sloppy to me  I agree though the bass is a little week could come up in the mix, now I am at work with crappy speakers but I agree just was not real strong bass tone & low in the mix. It sure did sound like you had fun doing it 8) & I enjoyed listening to it!! Thanks for the post!!

    God Bless!!

  • Nice job on trying that one.
Nice to see other members from the North Coast here.
    I'll watch for future posts.
  • Hey Partch thanks for the nice feedback. I tried to find some stuff you did but no luck. Do you have links to some stuff you have done?

    Thanks.
  • Hey Brian,
Thanks for your Interest :D I have not posted In quite some time. I have 2 Originals, the other tunes I posted have been stuff our Worship Team has done at Church. I play Lead/Electric at Church. I have been only playing for 4 years, & I'm very new to Recording/Mixing. A matter of fact everything that I have posted as to this point has been mono thru my full range monitor System for my GNX4, not even stero monitoring when I mixed  Anyhow bro keep these things in mind when you check my stuff out, I'm no Flyin Brian  Anyhow there out there check at page 2 of the Music Area. I know that is were Abide In me Final & Lord Bring Revival Are Located. Probably some tunes on page 3 as well. Anyhow if you can't find them I could post the links but you should not have any problems. Just look for partch on pages 2 & beyond

    God Bless Brian!!

  • Hey ThatsaStrat - good tunes great progressions! I really like the riffs. What did you use for the openng guitar on \"Driven\"? Is it a patch from the GNX?
  • Hey Partch good worship tunes. Nice soft progressions. I'd like to do some lead work on some of that stuff. I wrote a song back in 91' called \"free forever\" it's christian tune just acoustic. If I can remember how to play it I will post it but I can't sing at all and I mean NOT AT ALL but will sing on it so you can get an idea of the vocal melody lines.

I practiced singing for about 3 years and thought I was gettin good then recorded myself one day and never sang again :-(
  • Hey ThatsaStrat, where you guys at in the North Coast? I'm in Cleveland, Ohio.

You got to remember Brian, you will always sound wierd to yourself when you record  That don't nesecarily mean others won't dig it or think you have a fair voice :D Did you mean trying lead stuff to anything I posted? Have at it. I would deffinetly think that would be cool to hear this acoustic Worship song 8) & that you would go ahead & sing so I can be the judge of your voice :D Anyhow Brian I've been learning & growing alot in these Areas, plus I have some better software plugins & stuff as well as stereo mixing speakers with a sub even  woo what a difference for hearing stereo mixes 8) Anyhow I'm sure the next thing that I post will be much much better than what you've heard thus far :D

    God Bless!! & Keep posting

    Guitarjam,
    Like the Pretenders song lyrics
From Seneca to Cuyahoga Falls, me being the later.
The patch I used in Driven was the clean chourus with the chourus turned off. This is on the GNX3
  • An oldie but a goodie..Nice work..and good pickn'.. 8)
