Idiot Can't Remember...
Ok,
I've had two hard drives fry in the last month or two, so I had replaced the hd's in both (one pc one laptop). In the laptop I (of course) reloaded my LIFE, and a week later...dead.
I ordered a fancy Sonica 6600 DAW for the dungeon, but I won't see it for a month or so. In the meantime, I bought a new laptop, with duo core 1.66's and 1.5m of ram. It easily handles, x-edit, ptp, toneport, e-mu x-49, and vst's SIMULTANEOUSLY!!!!!! 8) 8) Completely kicked butt on the old amd but I digress...
The idiot part is that I can't seem to remember (and I searched the posts) how to remove my computer sounds from comng thru my monitors? I just muted it all for now, but I looked thru all of ptp and my os and I'm still stymied. I've been trying out different daw software, so I might have inadvertantly changed a setting or two. An anwser without too much ribbing would be appreciated
Thanks,
Dobb.

Control panel -> sounds and audio devices -> select your PC sound card and hit apply.
For some reason, with a new PC, when you plug the GNX in, it automatically defaults as the sound card.
