Converting earlier presets to GNX4

I'm downloading some presets from the magazine sites, and see that there a re some presets in earlier Digitech equipment...can you still use the earlier presets on the GNX4, or is it even workable? Thx MD

I bought a Line6 Pod XT with the idea of doing guitar sound modeling; really I want to recreate the sounds of some of my favorite songs, and go to work leaning them better. I saw that all the major guitar magazines had the Digitech GNX4 with the presets for all the songs, and thought I would try that also...do you think the Digitech or the Line6 will give the best recreation of the sounds; primarily David Gilmour-Pink Floyd, Led Zep, SRV, Knoffler, Beatles...

And are there any other sites with Patches / presets for the GNX4 that I can call up by artist / song out there on the web?

I think you can reproduce those Artist Bands with the GNX4. I can not speak to the Pod in comparisons? I know one thing the GNX4 is awsome all it does I've grown so much musically having this thing. It was truly a God send to me!! As far as having odles of patches for GNX4: Artist patches, Amp Models monthly updates etc.. G3456 put an awsome product together that I've had about a year & love, because I'm not a twaeker. But there are just hundreds of Patches, ACM files & such organized all neat on a CD you can purchase to unleash the power of your GNX4. I highly recommend it!! Awsome product!! There are also tutorials & heplfull things at Mikes G3456 site. Here is the link check it out!! I think you would be extremely pleased with the GNX4!! Hope this helps.
