\"Scottish Stomp\"
I was playing around with my metronome and had this melody in my head. My friend wanted to me do a sound clip, so I figured I as might as well make a song out of it. I've always wanted to play with ambient noises, so this was play-time.
No vocals yet as my singer is away, but this is another candidate for an instrumental. That's why the bridge is two bars longer than it should be.
I was going for a punk sounding mix, just because. Anyway, this was done this morning and I had a blast! Thanks to Mark007 for finding me some ambient sound clips.

You're a better vocalist than you give yourself credit for. Especially when you sing in your range. 8) Plus, you have a gift of making music that sounds like you're smiling.
The drums are Storm Drums for the samples and Sonar for the sequencer. I hand wrote them for the tune. I usually spend more time on them, but I really wanted to crank this tune out in half a day. There's other songs that need more attention.
Hey thanks for listening! Pissed? :?: I've finally got my GNX presets right where they need to be for minimal mastering now. That saved me a lot of time. I'm going to check out your remix, but my ears are numb from working on this all morning.
God Bless You!!
Partch
Ha ha, thanks buddy, great detective work!
I've always wanted to add ambient sounds to a track, but never remembered when I was actually recording. It really does seem to add to the tune. I think I'll have to try harder to remember for next time.
It's great to be back here Partch! You guys keep putting out great original music. It's a pleasure to listen to you all. 8)
(Ha ha, left as a standalone statement, I think you might get Jer excited.
Anyway, I'm in for whatever.

I always had a thing for those Celtic melodies.
You got my head nodding and my feet tapping
afun jam there--I could see the people skiping around in the tall grass with thier skirts and all. Good job AC
Ladies skipping around in skirts is a nice visual, but I think you mean kilts.
Great mix and composition... 8)
Ha ha, hey buddy, you already posted, but thanks again.
Good luck with your computer. 8)
I loved it, also the cheering at the beginning and the end fits in just perfect !
You have bagpipes?
and of course I wish I knew how to play them
Thanks for listening!
If you're still in the mood to punch someone, I've got a list.
