Simulating Feedback with a GNX

Does anyone know a way to simulate feedback for those of us who don't get it, but like to tastefully use it for texturing and ambience? This would apply to anyone who uses the direct recording functions of their GNX.

My method thus far has been:
- Grab the note on the high E string that corresponds to the feedback pitch I want
- Grab the note on the same fret of the B string with another finger
- Add a lot of long delay
- Move the strings around slightly and independently to create some dissonance
- Play around with the volume knob

The main problem with this approach is that the sounds runs out pretty quickly, and plucking the strings runs any authenticity I had going.

Does anyone have a better method? :?:
