A very sad day for P.G. musician's
12:30 a.m. Sat. a Prince George musical institution,in bussiness for over 35 yrs. B&B Music burned to the ground. No one was hurt in the blaze, but millions of dollars in inventory was lost. Every thing from 16' concert grands to the many Les Pauls,Gibsons,Strat's.....Lost forever
The Taylors,
. The 2 brand new Randy Rhodes Jackson Flying V's, one black with gold hardware and one cream with black pin stripe as well as gold hardware

The Geddy Lee \"P\" basses
My buddy, who is a guitar teacher there, lost ten yrs. worth of origanal recording as well as his Yamaha AW4416 digi recorder and a 1980's Les Paul Studio...triple EMG's....NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!
Only time will tell what caused the fire and weither or not the store will be re-built.
Many Good times in that place, good times

I feel especially sorry for your teacher and his recordings---that stuff is hard to replace. The equipment -you can find but the recordings--oh boy - alot of work even if you remeber it all.
sad news
Wonder if any Sony batteries were involved. http://www.techworld.com/mobility/news/index.cfm?newsID=6777&pagetype=all
Now I have to find something else to do Sat. mornings. It's not like we don't have any more music stores in town.....but these cats were the coolest. I literally spent my teenage yrs. in that store, working as a piano mover and later onto sales for awhile.
Out of the ashes, the phoenix will rise again.
If you don't want to lose it forever, ALWAYS keep backups at an OFF-SITE location to guard against losing your precious \"stuff\" of this nature to a fire-(or other cometely destructive) catastrophe like this. I know it is only common sense really, but many people don't appreciate the value of employing this simple safety precaution until it is too late.
rgds,
Chuck
of work. But hopefully something good could come out of this
like a bigger and better store.
Hopefully the owner had insurance that will not only cover his loss, but the instuctors as well...
Damn Shame..
I think of guitars somewhat like kids. Each one is different, deserves to be played with, and needs to be heard. Know what I mean?
