Tragedy strikes
Howdy to all my axslinger pals. I have sorry news to pass on. I've resigned my position after 5 years...what this means is that I'm suddenly unemployed, homeless, and using public internet access to read the GNX forum. Ugh.
How am I EVER going to get Drea de Matteo to go out with me now?!? :?
Anyway...besides that, the real tragedy is that it's entirely possible that my guitar and recording gear may have to go into temporary storage, which not only means I won't be able to play, but I won't be able to dazzle you all with my incredible compositions.
So I might be living vicariously through you guys for a while.
Drew Barrymore is trailer trash...do you think she'd sleep with me under my bridge? I have an AWEsome refirgerator box!!! 8)

did the bosses wife give you a hard time again?
unemployment sucks dude but homelessness is worse---hope it isn't for long.
take care
Every time I've made a career move, it turned out better than where I was before...
Yes, WOG - that's exactly what happened...the Mrs. has just let her dog off the leash, and her husband - who is relatively indifferent to anything but keeping his high-maintenance wife happy - isn't keeping her at bay. So they're \"forcing me out\", in order to avoid paying me severance. Can you beleive it - a guy worth over $100 million bux?!?
Soo...I'm going to make do in the meantime. Try to pick up some temp employment while I look for a new position, and probably find a place to live temp'y until things wash out.
I'm hopeful it'll come together...I'm sure I'll manage to land on my feet, somehow. But in the meantime, things are looking pretty bleak.
And no guitar. How will I last??? Perhaps if Drea was here, giving me a backrub, I could deal. :x
P.G.
I'm hopeful that this monstrous - and unexpected - upheaval in my situation will eventually result in better things to come. Better job, better place, and maybe an adoring hottie for me??? 8) That'd be kewl...
hey you couild always head for sunny sd. I'm sure there's a hottie out here for ya.(I know you hate the city but the scenery ain't bad)
AND plenty of work.
I'm sure things will work out for the better---The whole world is out there and the opportunities abound.Head up --good things are comin your way
take care bud

Unfortunately, it seems that now days, everyone has to go through this at least once in their career. It happened to me in '03. I was content with my job and had every intention on staying there long term. One day out of the blue, they let 400 out of 5000 people go - that's a big layoff. I was devistated. But in short order, I discovered that I was worth a LOT more than they were paying me, and it turned out to be a blessing. Keep your chin up my friend. You're a sharp individual and this will all come to pass. Glad you'll have your laptop. Any time you need encouragement, or just someone to listen, we're here for you!
