Hey thanks all for your sugestions!! I do truly value all of your feedback!! This is the exact same mix as before with vocals doubled. That is the only change. I'm much happier with the song now!! As I have always intended for the Words to be heard and understood!! I was just having difficulty getting that done. Again thanks everyone & please one more listen for partch.

you know I'm startin to think we should post the lyrics to our songs.

yes I can hear and understand much but not all but ...many songs are like that.
that said --it is much better---still room for separation and volume in the vocal....my two cents

Wogs I appreciate that!! Hear are the words. I'm still going to try a few more things with this song. I'll probably post one more version most likely I'll sing it again dry and add some reverb afterwords & see how that sounds?? Anyhow I'm pretty happy with this song at this point!! A week ago I bairly new what key & somewhat of a melody & rythem. Now I have a decent song for first ever all Original. Praise The Lord!!

Hey there Partch. Grats on your first original 8) 8) 8) . I think this mix definitely sounds better. I agree that the vocals get a little low in a few places, but really few and far between. Also, the bass could come up some. Overall, excellent work my friend 8)

Hey Partch - Some tips from an old rocker. (I can't believe it, but I've had the good grace to live 50 years!) This mix is much better. The vocals definitely have a presence now. Still, the words don't always cut through. Sometimes, especially when recording, you have to overenunciate the word to make them audible. We Americans tends to drop our ending consonants. It muddies the words when we sing. Try listening to just your vocal track. On PTP, press the S (Solo) button for the track. Can you understand every word? More importantly, can someone who doesn't know the song understand every word? Have someone else listen to the vocal track line by line. Have them repeat the words to you. If they didn't get it, loop record that line several times, and keep your best take.

Partch, songwriting is a very spiritual thing for me. I believe it is a gift God has given me that I am trusted to share with others. I wrote my first song with lyrics at age 20, and did not write another one until I was almost 40. Then something inspired me, and now I've written somewhere close to 70 songs. Stick with it. Use the talent while you have it.

This is a beautiful song Partch! 8) The vocals could use some treble boost for clarity. Also, the vocals sound like they could use a little compression for volume leveling.
Very enjoyable tune.

The vocals need some EQ around the 3.5 KHZ area. Try to give them a little compression but not too much. If you play with the EQ you should be able to clean them up and then work on the level, panning and some reverb.
I would like to hear this again when you tweak it.
