i dont know much about GNX porcessors.. i ud lyk 2 know dat which one would be better for a nu-metal guitarist? GNX3 / 4 / 3000 ?
GNX 3 is comparatively cheaper.. so wat facilities would i miss out if i go for GNX 3?

SO...here's my $0.02 worth:
I started w/ a '3, and went on to a '4. Some of these guys have or have had more 2 or more of the 3 models.
Rumor has it the 3K is a better sound - modeling wise. If you have no use whatsoever for a recorder/looper function, it makes the 3K look pretty good.
The GNX4 gives up very little to the 3K in sound, and adds a world of incredible functionality. Builtin 8trk, many assignable footswitches, USB conn'y, MIDI/MP3 playback, CF cards (up to 2G) instead of SM/SD's...yadayada. It's a coupla bills more than the '3, but for me, it was worth the extra, even after I'd bought the '3.
The '3, on the other hand, is an excellent comporomise...it has more than pasable sound, the 8trk, learn a lick, yada...AND costs a coupla bills less than the other two.
What it really comes down to is comparing your needs and wants to your budget, and making a decision.
OR...if you're married and want to piss your wife off, get 'em all. :twisted:

I too had the three, and now the four. I thought the 3 drum machine was lame, and I liked the tones of the four better, so I traded up. Haven't played thru a 3k, but I've been surfing ebay for a sweet deal on one.
Unless you just wanna stick with something to goof around with in your bedroom(the three)...get a four if you want the recorder and more drum options. Get a 3k if you don't.

If u play Nu metal like Korn and slipknot that downtune to D/C all the time u can use the whammy feature to downtune to D then if u wanna go in drop C just detune your E string.That can be done by a pressing one pedal.
