RRRRRGGH!!! I need some good vocal patches for my GNX4

OK...I'm gonna haveta sink my boss in the river. She's really gettin' under my skin. And her husband couldn't care less. She's driving me crazy.
So...unless I get a canoodlin' woman real soon, it's lookin' like there's going to be more anger-inspired 'creativity' coming forth soon.
Not that I'd discourage inspiration from anywhere, but I'd much rather be in love than p/o'd at my boss every day. That'd probably be worth a few songs...
In other riveting news (sorry, I'm assuming you guys all have no lives, like me!) I've just picked up a decent condenser mic, my first mic that doesn't double as a doorstop. I'm looking forward to trying some vocal stuff. SO: I need some good vocal patches for my GNX4. I have Craig Anderton's and I don't like any of them. Have any of you guys developed anything good? I've got a low voice, smooth...I can't scream at all. Sort of Gilmore meets Petty meets Santana meets Glenn Frey, and once they've all gotten drunk together, they sound like me.

  • She's been ridin my @$$,like a rented pack mule,So I sent her a doggie bag of Fido's stool. oh woo oh ohwaa, I got the bitchy boss blues.:lol::lol: Now you know the words, sing it with me :P
For my vocal tracks,it's just a touch of delay and some hall verb.
Good luck with the bitchy boss.
    Stay cool,P.G. 8)
  • I can see the big guy with his Johnny Paycheck voice singing \"Take This Job And Shove It\" only with skoal under his lip, and his beer belly hanging over his belt.

You are not alone. It is getting colder here already. I think we are in for a tough winter. Women don't like being cold, and it affects them in bad ways. Why, even the women up here stopped shaving their legs already.
    Yesser...gonna be a tough winter.

Thank God we can both be out in the woods soon, and drag home meat.
  • I used the vocal plate preset in the Pantheon pckage, set at about 20% wet. Just set up an audio track in PTP or Sonar or whatever it is you use, and select the Reverb package for the effects. To get the chorused sound that I use to imply multiple voices, I copy the part of the the track I want double up and then I nudge it until its offest about 5 millisec.

Heehee...I'd have told them to shove the job a long time ago if it weren't such a tasty gig. Putting up with her B/S is just part of the program. You know how gorgeous rich women are...they get everything their way and they're stunned if you won't fall all over yourself giving it to them. Must be rough.
We're starting to get cold nights, but days are still gorgeous. Going mtn biking today. But I'd much rather be keeping some cutie warm...furry legs or not!
So...do MI women respond to meat? I bet U/P ones do...:lol:

Hey 'flood...thanks for the tips. I don't know that I can go that route 'cuz I'm still not using the computer for recording...it's not fast enough and I get poor performance and results with PTP. So I still record with the GNX and my Fostex. But the ideas are good and I'm going to try to apply them with my other gear. Thanks!!

Hehee...thx PG. I went to work on my \"anger management\" tune today, as my boss was again being difficult yesterday. Maybe if she was naked more often I could stand it. :?
Love the lyrics - truly in the spirit of how she's been acting to me - but they don't quiiiite fit into what I played today.
I hope you're all looking forward to it - it'll be my first (posted) recording I used my trustly ol' Roland in, and depending on if I can stay mad at her and do some PG-style lyrics, I might even try to get some vocals on there. Too bad my new condenser mic isn't here yet...
