Having problems with X-Edit

I just ugraded my X-Edit to v1.3 and it freezes when opening a patch for editing. It has done this every time I have used it (about 7 times). I have to rebooted my PC every time it freezes. It would do this before I updraded to 1.3, but not everytime I used it.
I am running Win.XP Media Ed. ,512 MB DDR SDRAM, 1.8gig Intel Proc.

Any help would be appreciated.

    All these other guys around here are the real experts, but I recall lots of people having this problem and if I remmeber right, the solution is that you can't install 1.3 over the original, you have to do a total uninstall, then start fresh with 1.3; you also have to make sure your GNX drivers are installed correctly, so your puter recognizes the GNX.
    Also, don't click on patch files to open GNX; open the program directly, then open patches from inside the program.
