pickup wiring question
Hey all, relatively new here(just got my gnx3k a month ago, definetly love this thing). I'm asking this here because you guys seem to really know your stuff, anyways heres the deal. I have a jackson dkmg that I just put the emg 85/81 set into. They work and all, but I'm not sure if the switch is wired correctly, since a buddy and I just sort of winged it and did some trial and error(I'm an idiot and just pulled all the old wiring out without marking down where everything went). It's a 3 way blade switch that doesnt seem to match up with any diagrams I've found online, and it seems that I've searched just about everywhere. The switch has 8 solder points on it, all on the same side of a small metal box. I can upload pics if that would help, or if anyone has a Jackson or guitar with the same style switch and could check out how it should be wired that would be great.

I posted what I thought answered your switch...but after looking at it again ...I need to check into this further. :P
I am pretty sure I have the same switch on my DK2, but it's wired H-S-S.

Or this:
http://www.guitarnuts.com/wiring/stockgibson.php (remembering that with basic Les Paul wiring, there's a Vol/Tone for each pup; with a dinky you'll be putting both pups to the same set of controls)
Either that, or you can send it to me and I'll build it and set it up for you, in exchnage for the loving devotion of the hottest girl you know...
shredd....this is the switch on my Jackson DK2 showing the Chinese Awfooie Switch I think duffman may have. Mine is wired for H-S-S. I looked at those sites too. Maybe he's wiring up the Zakk Wylde EMG set. Mine are Duncan. You can see top 4 posts are not used.
Thanks a bunch

...right ...the black wire you can see off the end there, and the first large white wire come off the volume pot. Since I have 3 pickups...your right...they are the bottom three..H (green) S(white) S (white). The order looks reversed. Neck pickup is the very bottom, then the middle pickup, and finally the green bridge humbucker.
Hope this puts you in business.
Thanks again for the help though
