The supplied Digitech power adapter is made in china, the generic is made in china too, so as long as you get the voltage and the amperes right there should be no problem.
Hi,
Sorry if i'm jumming in on the wrong forum (first time on and dad of frustrated son).
My son has just brought a Whammy with a 120V AC powerpack from Canda over Ebay.
Problem is that we live in a 240V country (Australia).
Can we use a 240 > 9V DC plugpack or does it have to be 9VAC?
Thanks for any advice
Ro.

We have to call in to the digitech store to order the power supply.

The Whammy still takes the same input(9VAC 1300mA) and cheap stepdown transformers only convert voltage. You are also 50 Hz. Better ask DigiTech in Australia http://www.digitech.com/cgi-bin/intdealer.pl?country=AU
and MAYBE UK's 230V will work here http://www.piedog.com/musical_instruments/cables/power_cables/digitech-ps0913b.htm
I had the same trouble when i was contemplating buying a GNX4 off ebay, as i also live in Australia.
WOO Australia!
all sorted, son happy (house full of loud noise again (I suppose it's music))!
