Glsd you dug it...
How's it hangin' buddy..
Can't wait to hear some more of your stuff..
Have fun...
Tal..
...kinda reminds me of the Chet Atkins/Les Paul jams (\"Chester & Lester\")
a little bit...I took the tunes you've posted so far and burned the MP3s to CD and listen to them in the car now.(Hey -even \"Simon Cowbell\" digs it!)
Glad you dug it..
Had a hoot playing it.. 8) .
I'm playing an ES175 on this and most of my pieces and it is a Full Hollow body and a hoot to play. Plays a lot better sitting than standing. Damn things about 4 inches thick..
Yeah you got me with the Simon thing..
Looking forward to hearing some of your stuff.. 8)
Once again,
Thanks,
Tal. 8) ..
Are you doing finger picking in that or are you using a pick? Also it seems like your flying-- I think I hear two tracks ---Could you possibly be packing all that in on one track? If you are --YOU'RE THE MAN.
All in all --I love it and keep it up TAL
paul
Glad you cats dug the tune. 8) ..
Wogs what you are hearing is flat pickin' no fingers used on the lead.
It is indeed two tracks. (Hate to disappoint but I aint that damn good)
There's a rhythm track which IS playing the bass line and finger pickin' the chords..
Then theres the quick lead track which is all flat pickn' stuff.
I compose tunes in the following manner..
I'll get a tune floating around in my head either from practicing the guitar, or a melody floating around..
Next I'll work it on the guitar where I want the tune do go and work out all the musical details of the piece...
Haven't ever hooked the GNX4 up to a computer yet so I use the onboard recorder.
My approach is kind of like building a cake when I'm recording multiple tracks.
1st: I lay down the midi drum pattern I like for the tune.
2nd: I'll lay down the lead, bass or ryhthm.
3rd: Whatevers left from step 2.
4th: Whatevers left from step 3..
Always record in Stereo so each of the above steps takes up two tracks, so at the end of the 4 steps, all 8 tracks available on the on board recorder are taken..
Then I can selectively delete tracks I don't like from the recorder and re-record the entire tracks until I get em' the way I want to.
Then on to the mix where I cut out the extra drums at the end of the track and maybe tweak the DB just a tad in places..
That's about it..
Glad you guys enjoyed this one and I enjoyed it as well.
I also enjoy you guys playing as well and am looking forward to your next tunes.. 8)
And Tallone....
I think you're absolutely right...
Hard to beat that hollow body sound..
See Ya,
Tal.. 8)
Loved the guitar work, it's flowing like a river....funny it may sound but for some reason, while listening to it , I pictured a leaf travelling on the surface of a river and going to places and then gets picked up by wind and flies away to see more
Really glad you dug it...
I really had a hoot playing and composing it as well.. 8)
Once again...
Thanks buddy...
You made my day... 8) .
See Ya,
Tal.. 8) .

First time posting on this site. Love the song man! I've been playing for a little over a year now. Bought a GNX3 a couple of months ago and just clued in on this site. Not brave enough to post any of my works yet, but your playing is inspiring for sure!
My axe is an SG special. I play through a Crate xt120 2x12 and of course the GNX3.
Nice to meet you all!!!
Glad you guys dug it...

Tal.. 8)
guess I missed this one back in April
Very nice as usual! I'm really starting to get into the Chet Atkins type tone - discovering that there is life after distortion 8) Your tune here is one more example of how great a clean guitar can sound. I really enjoyed it!
Keep it coming!
Rob
Thank you InsideOut..
I really enjoy the clean sound.. 8)
Don't get me wrong I like that tube distortion on blues but some types of music just cry out for Clean..
As far as MR. Atkins (AKA Mr. Guitar) 8) 8) 8)
One of my all time favorites and definitely couldn't go wrong trying to emulate some of his stuff..
Since I've already used my 3 posts in the 3 favorite Vids post, thought I'd cheat a little and use this opprutunity to post.. 8) 8)
Chet Atkins performing \"Dark Eyes\"...
Simply amazing...
Thanks buddy,
See Ya,

Tal Farlow is grabbing his axe in the sky and trying to work out those changes right now!!

Now that's the kind of tune that wets a girls' panties. If I could play like that, girls'd be beating my door down.
Yeah, but you need girls in the vicinity.
I'm glad you guys like this one..
It was one of my favorites as well. 8)
A lot of people over at SoundClick like it as well. Got up to #10 in Jazz (General) over there until I put \"Les is Les(S)\" in it's place..
Thanks guys..
