anyone with a Behringer EX2200 Dualfex Pro, pls read!
I ordered one and finally got it from GC. Im reading through the manual, and it says that most nearfield monitors wont handle the bass produced by the ex2200! Does this mean my Behringer 2031As wont work? aaaaarrrgggghhhhh!!!

Say it isn't so!!! I'm away at work, so although I've received mine, I haven't used it yet. That would sure be a bummer.

That's a relief, thanks G'

Thanks for writing to us Mike. The EX2200 is capable of adding very low fundamental harmonics, true. The B2031A's are capable of an extremely flat frequency response (50 Hz - 21 kHz). That doesn't mean the B2031A's can't reproduce frequencies below 50 Hz, it just means the response below that isn't perfectly flat which is very typical of most nearfield monitors by the way. I think for mixing purposes you will find the B2031A's to be most adaquate to hear the harmonics you are adding. No doubt, when you play your mix through a system with some big subs, it will magnify the low end.
Another huge application to make any stage sound come alive! So I added an insert on the hi toms and floor tom. gave a bit of opposing pan. A patron requested \"Spirit of radio\"...our drummer said \" I didn't play anything different but they all said at break how much better I played that song\". Same thing happened on \"Voodoo\"..toms firing out of L/R FOH and patrons saying how much better the drums sounded.
I'm thinking of racking a few of these with a patch bay and insert the signal to any channel strips.
users have asked if this should be between the mixer out and the PA amp sys. I think it's better on the AUX inserts to you can control how much send you want to use on the ch's. You can use it on the output mix if you want and it will liven up the master mix. The Aux method just gives you more control. At the EX2200, and at the board aux level adjustments.
thanks

GNX4> Mixer> EX2200> 2092A> 2031a's
If you don't use a mixer and want it on the 2092/2031a's:
GNX4>EX2200>2092A>2031A's
If you have a mixer and user an AUX:
GNX4>Mixer>2092A>2031A's Now the EX2200 can be used on an insert send or aux send. You can adjust the mix of dry signal with the EX2200.
For boards with only AUX Sends/Rets use the master S/R on an Aux strip. Using it this way allows you to have the effect on any channel with an aux level adjust. Generally, it's AUX 1,2 EFX (AUX 3-4) on most Behr and other boards.
For boards that have insert sends on individual channels> Use the EX2200 with a TRS insert cable. Most channel inserts have a TRS config and Send /Returns are on the same plug.
LDW
Probably nobody can, enhancer = exciter. http://www.rane.com/par-e.html
Interestingly enough, my bass processor dial is set at about 1.5 as well.
I have'nt really played much through the monitors with it. GNX4>EX2200>TS100 power amp>Legacy2x12 Cab R- Legacy2x12 Cab L.
This unit has finalized my setup with the GNX4. I could not be happier!
Dial Settings: Bass Processor=1.5 (soft)
Tune= 2.5
Multiband=Middle
High Mix= 2.3
Surround= 1.5 (but generally out)
:shock: What, are they made of gold? I bought two 3 footers for $18.00.
Obviously not the quality of cables you bought but it sounds just fine?
