Blues for Tal (By Tal Rules)
Got a video a while back featuring Charlie Byrd, Herb Ellis, and Tal Farlow..
Geez those cats could play... 8)
After being inspired watching these guys, thought I'd write a Jazz/Blues thing and try to perform it in the style of Tal Farlow...
Sheesh..
Who am I kidding..
.
Tal would've smoked on something like this...
Wish he was still around.

I'm glad you guys dig it.. 8)
THX for the props..
Love to listen to your posts. Those hollow jazz guitars just sound sooo mellow. If I may ask do you use a click track when recording? I thought I heard you getting a little quick at one point. The reason I asked is I just was in a recording situation with our band and I was the only one that could play with the click track on time. We ended up having to wing it now it's a bear with the mix down. I'm just encouraging everyone to use some sort of timing in their recording. Timing is just as important as anything we do. Oh and thanks for giving my post a listen and taking the time to comment.
Nah, I don't use a metronome when I'm not using a drum track on my stuff.. Just record the backing track with the tone I want, then dial in the tone I want for the lead, and play..
Yeah time may suffer some in places...
Glad you enjoyed it.. 8)
I really have a hoot on these pieces.. 8)
I've had the GNX4 about a year and have yet to plug it into a computer..
I'm too afraid I'm going to get all hung up in recording and forget about the playing.
Thanks dude.. 8)
Glad you dig it.. 8)
I get a kick out of old School..
I guess that's because I'm old enough now to qualify..

Unfortunately, I have not had much time to play lately. Work has been extremely busy for me. I know I should get my priorities straight, but unfortunately, I think I would make more money working than I would playing. roll
Maybe I will get a chance to post something soon. Meanwhile, keep up the great playing. I always enjoy your music!
Later Tal
