Are you a spoiled kid. :P Why when I was 13, my multi-fx was well used big muff, black taped to a broken crybaby with one of those foot shaped gas pedals tied to it with a shoe lace. You think you got it rough...
Rock is good for ALL ages. That is one righteous gift Bro. Hours of enjoyment.
I'm 40, am I the second youngest? :P
well i would be spoilt if i had my dream setup which would be
gibson les paul standard
jackson rr1
marshall power amp and marshall cabs
in rack:
marshall jmp1
and all the rack effects
and my gnx3
hehe
My 15 year old son inherited my old Digitech RP200 and Marshall MG100DFX amp - but I did buy him his own Ibanez S370 axe.
... and I'm younger at 39 1/2 but I don't have a GNX3 so I suppose I'm disqualified on a technicality.
Truly - enjoy that tool for what it can do for you - but focus more on learning the art of being a guitarist. Equipment will come and go. Technology will change. Be a musician first.
Got my first axe when I was 8..
A $12 Kay acoustic..
When I was a kid I had to walk to guitar practise up hill both ways...if i wanted stereo sound I had to duck tape to gorilla amps on each side of my head and if i wanted new strings....I had to chase a cat down to make them myself and...
thats like dave murrays setup isnt it?
i'm 16, am I the youngest using a gnx4 on this forum?
P.s. just coz i'm young dont view my advice with skepicism
yeah maiden use marshall 9200 power amps and jmp1's
maiden and my other fav metal band ,judas priest, also use this setup but i think they also use jcm900
Ever since Rock in Rio they dont have the backwall of amps, instead a more theatrical style prop setup (no one actually uses those walls of amps) which I like.
Acwild: \"I started when I was 12 and had an acoustic.\"
Yes I had to play an an acoustic for 3 years before \"graduating\"!!!!
Kiss was known for this. Paul and Ace both had one or two stacks each on each side of the stage that was operable. The other 50 or more were props. Now the master PA, monitors etc was about 20,000 watts for an outdoor arena ! They had Three Semi's loaded with generators ! It was one of the most impressive operations I ever saw in my life!
Most Pro rigs today house the amps within the stage props unless endorsements require the artist to be visual advertsiment.
when i went to see the darkness dan hawkins had 5 marshall stacks but only two were mic'ed up
yeah i agree
but i am already a guitarist and musician take a listen

RATE MY RIFF PLEASE
i made this riff myself on my gnx3
A lot of people get caught up in technology or the gimmicks - keep growing as a musician and a guitarist, a student of the instrument. I've seen video clips of Malmsteen playing \"blues\" and it's really just another shred-fest to a slower progression. I've seen him shred on a nylon string classical guitar. Former Racer X guitar Paul Gilbert, who is also most known for his shredding, is a well rounded guitarist. I've seen him truly play blues, classical - he does the style justice and plays it for what it is rather than just \"shredding\" under a different name.
Most importantly - have fun with it. The guitar is a gift - enjoy it!!!
thanks
yeah i know paul,he does a column in a guitr magazine called school of shred,he can sure play
although only two of dan hawkins staks were miced they were ALL on switched on
Yngwie has used as many as 31, although most of these are \"dummy Cabs\", which are onstage stage for visual effect and not actually used. For ease of transportation and lifting, most of these actually do not even contain any speakers. It is usually the case that maybe only 2 or 4 cabs are actually powered, as using this many could cause serious problems with the overall mix of a live show. The same goes for most of the amp heads in a scenario like this, as they are just the wooden frame with, in fact, no heavy inner workings.
:P
Talk about an amp and a wall of sound. :P .
That Standel is SWEEEEEET.. 8) .

You don't need a wall of sound..
Wes proved that by awesome playing 50 years ago.
i have an epiphone les paul standard and randall rh100 stack, there good solidstate amps.i would prefer valve but they are to exspensive
i am gonna get an rr1 one daytrouble is i am left handed and they dont make them in left handed
