new guitarist, second attempt

Thanks to everyone who helped me in making these improvements. For anyone who didn't catch the first post, I've been playing a short time. I've had the GNX4 for about a month. I posted this tune a few days back and a number of you were kind of enough to make useful suggestions as to how I could improve it.

Thanks in advance for taking the time to help me out.

I'm having a freaking blast! (or did I say that already)

  • I liked the new background instruments. Keep working on adding more bends. You can also use \"ghost bends\" for some those half step (as well as full step) bends. A ghost bend is when you bend the string before you strike it, then release the bend.

Each version is getting better. Most songs are created the same way. You start with an idea, and it evolves into something new.
  • Thanks ednrg! I EQed the backing track. It always sounded ok through the GNX4 and KRKs but, played through the pc (some of creative labs stuff) it sounded muddy, a little booming here and there. I picked up some tips from this forum and read a little about using the EQ. I found I had much better results making very small adjustments to what seemed like big sound issues.

Ya, the tune changed almost entirely. But those slides and small bends were hardly noticeable after mix-down. Still, I am happier with this result. The help I am getting here is worth a dozen \"how to\" books.

Glad the improvement was noticeable. Thanks again for your suggestions.
  • Mix is much improved..

  • Nice dude, I'm new to lead work myself, still a mystery to me :? , but nice tune..... very tranquil and melodic sound 8)
