8 Track gone on vacation?????

Hey everyone sorry I haven't been on for awhile but have been busy with so many things. I'll leave this question out there for anyone who might have experienced the same problem I'm having with the 8track recorder. Mine has been working fabulously for the last year without any problems and all of a sudden the display is showing lines across it. No 00:00 just
and it won't record even after a reset on the whole unit. I've searched everwhere and all manuals including the Power User Guide but no answers could be found. There has to be something I figure I'm missing but where????. Any input from the usual pro's here? God I'm freaking out! I'll be awaiting for some savior! Thanks all!

    Try putting a blank Cf card in and formatting it. See if the format part works. Also check CF storage button. I had a guy that had that stuck ON (beer spill) and it killed the recorder functions.

    Hey Guitar3456 I appreciate you getting back to me with some advice and I tried both those ideas and still nothing..if you can think of anything else please let me know back here and I'll keep at it. I blew some clean air around all the buttons and I have never spilled anything on it so I'm at a loss. More suggestions are welcomed! If not I guess I have to send it for repair. Not doing any gigs at the moment so I could spare a small amount of time without it but man it's gonna kill me to be without it!

    You could have a bad ribbon cable, or power supply (internal) connection problem on one of the voltage regulators..two things I know have caused similar probs...SEND IT IN.

    One thing, some users have purch from AmericanMusical.com and other places that give One Year extra protection.. be sure to verify and use the warranty if you have it.

    Thanks Guitar 3456 for all your help on this one and it must be an internal problem so off for repairs it will go I have warranty left on it so just the waiting to get it back will kill me not the bill. When it does come back I'll let you know what it was. Thanks again
