Charvel Mode 4

after waiting for quite sometime, I finally get a charvel.. i think it's a Mode 4.. my problem is that I'm not sure the way the pickups are configured.. because it's a used axe, it might've been some mods done.. and I don't know it's previous owner.. Anyone can help me find out how the standard pickups are configured? It is H/S/S with three dedicated toggle switches... which is only like on/off switches.. I mean any chance that the toggle switches used to be for splitting the pickups signal? I have searched the Net but to no avail... diagrams would be nice... Help...

    I have a model 4, and the switches are stock, not a modification.

    My Model 6 was the same way. Basically on/off switches, no taps. 8)

    How does one go about finding out what Model they have?I have a Charvel and have no idea what model it is.Pick ups are unknow as well.They're on a 3way switch,double coil at the brigde and single at the neck.The first coil on the double,looks like there allen key magnets,the second coil has a rail.Anyone got any idea's?

    If memory serves (which it very well may not), I don't think Charvel had a humbucker/single combo in any of their \"model\" models.

    The Model 6 is H/S/S with a neck-through design. Awesome guitar that I was stupid to get rid of.

    Those Charvels are GREAT guitars. When I bought mine, I was torn between the Model 4 & 6. I finally went with the 4 because I hated the finished neck.

    thanks for all yer input dudes...mine is H/S/S configured with the bridge pickup been replaced with a Seymour Duncan..don't even know what model.. I read somewhere in Aussie guitar mag.. it was an interview with Jim Root of Slipknot.. he favors Charvel too.. he said a Charvel is basically a Fender that they jack the neck up on.. man.. that guy got a Snakeskin SL2HH at home I think...
    Btw.. Since EVH parted with Peavey.. where's he now in term of corporate endorsements? Back with Charvel? Or with Wayne?
