Cruzin (By Tal)
Been away for a couple of months. Getting really heavy into the blues again.
Had to come up for air from the blues and take another trip to the Savoy club and put my shades on again..
Straight out jazz once again..
Man,
This melody just started playing around my head and the next thing you know I Was Cruzin....
I just dig the hell out it and I certainly hope you guys enjoy it as well..
Link for the tune is here...

I was just wondering about your picking technique. Do you use a hybrid style which combines using the pick and fingers?
Anyway enjoyed your post as always.
Nice job. I wish I could play like that! 8)
Keep em coming.

Glad you dug it.... 8)
To MikeB:
The only place I finger pick on the piece is the intro. Everything else is flat picking.

Glad you dug it. Listening to it in retrospect it does have that kind of \"Peanuts\" bounce to it..
Thanks Bababooey, glider007, and JimZ:
Dig yall's stuff as well.. 8) .
Glad you dug it as well Cobaltblooz:
That melody is infectious.
Been busily working on my blues chops for the Guitarrageddon contest this month and then this melody started just popping around in my head.
This melody kept bugging me, so I finally crawled out of my blues hole and composed \"Cruzin\".
I figured the damn thing wouldn't get out of my head until I did something with it, and the end results are I really like the tune now as well.
Only thing is:
It still didn't get out of my head.
Find myself humming the melody at random during the day.
This tune I think would sound great with a guitar synth emulating a sax section blowing the melody. Makes me want to get a synth set up bad.. 8)
Thanks for the kind comments and glad you enjoyed it.. 8)
Anybody else with any comments about \"Cruzin\" feel free to post on this thread.. 8) 8) 8)
