need settings for dimmu borgir

can anyone post a dimmu borgir(recent sound not old style) or pantera setting for the gnx4

i would dl the settings but i dont have MIDI on my computer so i need the actual settings

any help would be greatly appreciated

download the krankamp simulation patch from the patch library in the digitech site. I think guitar3456 made it. Start from there coz it sounded more like dimes tone (scooped mids). I think it would also work for dimmu. I've used it to play songs from death cult armageddon coz it's great for muted riffs. Dont forget, you can alter the cab darkness or brightness using the cab tuning control. Try that before eq changes. For as many, it works better for scoops.

i cant use the patches because i dont have an MIDI chip installed on my comp

But you just need USB tough, this is the GNX4 we are talking about right? Or do you have the GNX3?

ive got the 4 and i plugged it into my USB but i wont send any of the patches through to my pedal it says i need MIDI to send it through

thats why i was askin for the actual setting instead of the patch

The real jewel of the GNX series are the ability to share custom amps. With just settings you are limited to the factory amps.

What errors do you get when you try to run X-Edit?
Search the forum, install the .NET framework and try version 1.3 at my site with the dll fix (www.gnx4.org/downloads/software)

it says no MIDI installed on your comp

and the settings i was talkin about are like the ones you find in the guitar world magazine

where it tells you the ch1 eq and amp and ch2 eq and amp

and all of the other little effects
