Anyone have this guitar? has anyone here tried it out?
I was thinking of getting one but i'm not sure. By the
sound of Eric's CD's, I'm willing to bet it's tone heaven!
$1600 at musicians friend (ouch)

    No, I don't, but somewhere I read a review or something about that guitar. It's made in the Fender Custom Guitar Shop, and Eric had specific recommendations about the guitar, and worked closely with the manufactures. I believe it is based on his 1957(?) model Stratocaster. If I ever find the article again, I'll share it, but don't hold your breath; a lot of time has moved along since I read the review.

    I read a post on another forum of a guy who got one and is thrilled with it! He said it absolutely lives up to the hype.

    I can't comment on the tonal qualitys of the Eric Johnson Strat,never had the chance to plug it in :( ,but for playablity,one word\"BUTTA\".The neck's radius is a bit beefer than a newer Strat.One of the guitar teachers down at the store(40 yr. vet)is just raving about it.
