How can ya beat this deal???
WOW!!,
Yesterday I went to Walmart to return a phone cord. While I was there I had to browse the computer section. When I noticed the $29.99 Soundblaster 24, I had to read the specs. -100db down loaded. 16 or 24 bit recording and playback at sampling rates of 8, 11.025, 16, 22.05, 24, 44.1, 44.8, and 96.
I have the same chip in my semi pro editing DAW's that cost me 4 times as much. With about the same specs. So what? I have several DAW's.. However, sometimes I like to record an idea when it hits me , or at least put the riff down so I can work on it later. Sometimes I end up with a whole song on a crappy card. Then what? Ya have to do it all over again with a better card.
Not anymore. Geeze. Whoda thunk it? Now what used to cost an arm and a leg is the price of the crap cards of yesterday. Just thought you guys would like to know. Can anyone beat this deal? And local too!
I'm not wild about Walmart, but this sure tripped my trigger. I almost bought a $150.00 card for my spare computer so I could record downstairs in the living room when I got the urge. {I'm one of those ADHD peeps that go to another room and loose the idea by the time I get set up. } Go figure....
