How do you repair an Indo guitar?
Throw it in a Lake! LOL No, seriously it's almost impossible the wood is soft and gummy, strangest thing I EVER saw.
B.C. Rich \"Low line\" CRAP!
have setup afew only to find the trem spring claw screws held in by wire insulation \"From the Factory\" or the stop tail piece studs not pressed or glued to the body. EVH WolfGang, maybe it's me but I've NEVER seen a good one and have set-up many. New Gibsons are so over priced it's stupid.........those SilverTone Paul Stanley models are just slightly better than a \"First Act\"
and speaking of those, Good Lord those are Horrid, there is no waty to properly replace a nut on one of those things the headstock is so off it's funny.
Anyway, just a Ramble and I'll think of more I have been doing repairs for 15yrs and it still amazes me some of the Companies alow out the door

\"Only a Gibson is good Enough\"
You get what you pay for...
Long time Gibson player... 8)
Gibson Rules....
Essentially if you buy a Samick L.P copy you have an Epi and some say BETTER than the Epi
glp_78: I wasn't impressed with the ESP line about 5yrs ago when it was offered to us (I really wanted to like it so`s I could git a deal on a George Lynch guitar, \"my Hero\") and I haven't had enough in for repair to complain about then too much
The low line Jacksons are Funky lots of cheap hardware mainly the Lock Nut strips out more often than it locks anything, the trem arms need to go directly to the trash and reordered from a better manfacturer
As far as Gibson I wasn't knocking the entire Company just the NEW STUFF in the last 10yrs or so
I have been in the repair business since 1962. And through the years I have found many high quality guitars made by little yeller fellers. Pickups generally sucked, but the hardware and craftsmanship as far as construction was as good as or even better than a lot of the American Assembley line junk. {Never have seen any slanty eyed wood in their exports.}
Through the years I have found more bad Gibson necks than I can count. Usually that double curve fron the nut to the 4th or 5th fret, then another curve from the 6th to the 10th. A great many of them had a real dip from the nut to the 5th. Big companies seem to go through spurts of good and poor quality years. I have owned a good many brand name guitars that I couldn't wait to get rid of. ESPECIALLY sad for the high prices they charge. But I don't especially care for Fender off the rack wares either. You can find good Gibsons and Fenders, but you sure shouldn't purchase the first ones you play. Play lots and lots of them.
Now the only guitars I will use for myself are home constructed with Warmoth bodies and necks. I just prefer their craftsmanship and tone woods to a lot of the assline crap out there.
I've played one of these and it isndeed a very fine axe..

I've been wanting to play one of these with the 18\" body, (Like a super 400) but have'nt located one yet locally to play...

All in all I think they make a pretty cool guitar...
HAHA!!!!!!! now I'm getting Sound but it isn't any strat sound I've ever heard, So I strip the paper from the springs pack it up n call it done. Nothing I can do but reccomend a New Guitar to the Guy...............
I call in the New kid to hear this cuz I know he's impressed with NAMED guitars n he looks at me n goes uhm DUDE........I smiled n reached for the Austin Strat Copy I had set-up prior to this \"BIG DOG\" n handed it to him as he imediatley busted out into full on Laughter that the Copy Sounded so much better than \"THE GUITAR\". Later on in the Day the guy picked up his guitar and straight faced said \"WOW MAN this Sounds GREAT\" what did you do? I just smiled n said MY Secret!
Poor Guy,he must be a Bass player or something cuz no guitarist I know of would think that over priced piece of Boat ore was worth calling a guitar. but another satisfied customer *shrug*
