\"Eminence Modeling 12`s\"

I just got them! Just Loaded them into a 2X12 stereo Combo I bought this week..... The tone is unreal, it's tight, it's smooth, it's EVERYTHING I have been missing and knew the GNX4 was capable of.
If you have ANY doubts about the speakers in your Rig, I definately recommend them for ANY type of music you play.

It's gonna be another few weeks but I think after hearing these I may order 2- Modeling 12's and 2-V12's for my 4X12 cab and keep it \"FOREVER!\"

OK, Gonna Run an go \"HUG\" errrrrr PLAY my Rig !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Modeling 12's huh? Do you know what makes them so good for modelers? Are they flat frequency response speakers? Or are they some type of super high tech gizmos?

Back in the mid 90's I began working on a midi rack system using a speaker emulator and I found some speakers that had a plain flat curve and they sounded exactly like my emulator. Problem was and still is that they dont have any real life to them. They just sound like......flat. They're accurate, but not enjoyable. At least not live. I'll be waitin to hear your review.

  • I put these in a crate GX-140C which sounded good to begin with.......70 Watts a side stereo. the difference is night and day Like I said tighter, smoother, AND ADDING more Rich and complex tones than I had imagined it would add.

Now running my Ibanez RG with Evolution pickups into the Gnx4 stereo out to the 2x12 combo`s stereo ins, To (and I'm anal about tone) the Gnx does exactly what I expected it to do the day I carried it home R0CK!

The amp models now sound like the amp models labeled not some half ass attempt.

I was able to dial in \"MY\" tone in minutes versus the year I spent with this thing and mad cuz it was never close to what I wanted, money issues kept me from these speakers for awhile but now that I have them I \"bow\" to the great guitar3456 now more than ever before.

These are not sterile by any stretch of the imagination, they are made to be flatter response than any other speaker but the Gnx4 almost needs that to do It's THING. Which is why I say if you have ANY doubt about your guitar amplifier speakers @ $60 a speaker definately check these out.

And after 8 hours of non stop playing I can still hear all the sublties when I touch any knob on x-edit Matrix
  • I have a 4x12 w MOD 12's and Stereo Power amp. Mod 12's are not necessarily flat, but if you notice, the paper cone is tight and the voice coil is near transparent in sound reproduction. Bass is less than a typical G1275 but the tradeoff is well worth it. Especially with Solid State amps.

Another 4x12 has 2 G12T75's on bottom and 2 Mod 12's on top. I use that with my Mesa 90/90
  • where did you buy them from?
