  • Hey Tal,
This goes to show Nature always tends towards equilibrium, conservation of energy, all that. I've sort of moved out of the bluegrass world, but it looks like you're about 1 step away from moving in... cool.

  • Thanks guys....

I've always been a big fan of the Delta blues guys...

Bukka White, Robert Johnson, Son House, and many, many others.. Eric Clapton said first time he heard Robert Johnson's recordings he locked himself in his apartment for 6 months learning the licks and crying half the time because of the emotional content... Now that's the BLUES!!!!!! 8)

Rollin & Tumblin is an old, old, blues standard, recorded by so many Blues cats that I have forgotten who did it originally. I guess one of those Bluesicologist cats might know... :?

On a more modern note I enjoy Keb Mo immensely. But by far my favorite modern blues man is the great Johnny Winter... Grew up right up the road from Houston in Beaumont Texas. The neighboring town to Beaumont is Port Aurthur Texas where Janis Joplin was raised... There is a lot of speculation about Mr. Winters and Mrs. Joplin crossing the border into South Louisiana in their teenage years and playing clubs there.. If that story is true, I sure wish I could have been one of those cats in attendance... 8)

For those of you who have never heard Mr. Winter play I would highly reccomend you go right out and purchase Johnny Winter Second Winter... Unbelievable slide work, especially on his version of Bob Dylan's \"Highway 61 Revisited\"...

    Good Dr:

This tune was recorded with my new toy.. Check out the link below:

    Two pick ups:
One in the body for a more flat top sound and a Fishman in the bridge to get really nasty slimy sounding.. Cool thing is the ability to mix the pickups to get a real clean sounding Blue Grass style or nasty blues or a combination...

It's a stamped cone not a spun one like a National or a Dobro, so acoustically it's a little weaker than those two, but plugged in.. Wow :D

Was plugged directly into the GNX4 and recorded...

Unfortunately this was my test piece, then I had to wrap it up and put it under the tree for Christmas... Damn!!!! :x

    Thanks once again guys,

    See Ya,
    Tal
