Any sites with more 'manual' modeling activity than here?

I'm fairly new but I'm already getting the impression that there aren't very many folks still working on building their own patches here. So, I'm wondering if there are other websites/forums covering the GNX series MFX units that may be a bit more active? Or is this pretty much it?

Thanks all ...

  • I'm building custom patches all the time. My ISP has hosed my file types or something so you can't actually download them! But when they fix it, you can get them (GNX3K only).

The GNX3K forums here are getting more active too.

I personally think the SoundCommunity and GuitarWorkstation being two separate sites is confusing and alienating to some users... they don't know where to post what. It would be much more cohesive to migrate the patch libraries and demos from SoundCommunity to this new forum here.

I almost never go over there anymore.
  • I've been trying to get some help to get started on a Dumble-like model since I first registered last week, but I've gotten nothing. Nothing on the Fuchs either, though that post is fairly new. And searching on the forum for either one I saw there were no posts discussing building either of these amps in a GNX unit. I rather assumed that'd be among the first models anyone tried to emulate, along with a Plexi, Vox, etc. But I got butkus. :D

In the few POD forums I've glanced thru there was a lot of manual modeling activity, and I am surprised there's so little for the GNX.

Bummer .... I was looking forward to sharing patches and ideas. Perhaps it's not too late to go back and get a POD. LOL. :D

  • Thanks for the info. I've decided to just take it back and get the POD XT Live. The POD community just seems much more vibrant and active, more 'tweakers' and noodlers, I guess.

    Take care ...

  • http://www.mfxsupermodels.com has more in-depth patch discussion than here, but no forum as of this writing. It seems like DT users have it all figured out! All we ever talk about is how to set up the outputs and USB I/O. 8)

Ah. Well. Thanks for giving us a try. Better luck with your next purchase / user community.
