Read through the thread... They must've fixed any latency issues because we've had up to 5 folks playing together with no timing issues... no delays.

We do have intermittent drop out if someone is too loud... I notice that a thick delay can dominate the signal too...

Otherwise, I've jammed with people all over the world for hours for the last week or so.

It's a blast.

I gotta try this out! I've always been skeptical about internet jamming, but then again, I was once skeptical about digital modeling (\"**** Line 6, man, stupid *** **** things\") and look at me now... all digitechy and liney and stuff.

Anyone else from here trying it out?

will this work if i'm hooked up to the pc via usb form the gnx4 while a friend plays through his microphone jack?

Ummm... not on the same computer duderman.

You can only select one audio input at a time.

Hi. Can anyone tell me how to set up my stuff to try this? Also, rather than jamming with guitar, as I'm just learning, I want to try it with my Roland TD3KV electric drumkit. Do I:

connect drum module to gnx
connect gnx to PC via usb and choose gnx as soundcard
connect gnx to amp for uotput?

Can I still use the gnx as a soundcard to do this? Also, when recording drumming I plug my drums into the gnx line in.

I now have Skype and my Roland drums rigged up to my PC and it sounds sweet at this end. Now all I need is some people to jam with!

is there a way to improve the sound quality? we are having static problems on both ends... we tried lowering the volumes but that doesn't fix it completely. also the sounds seem very thin.

duder - I don't know if anyone can honestly answer that... the sound could be \"thin\" for a billion reasons... pc speakers being the primary cause.

no we arent.

and you say it mayb be the speakers but even on the test call where it records yourself... I hear what i just played through my gnx4 but the quality of the sound is not good at all.

Also we were having problems with \"lag\" we tested tryign to play the same exact riff on top of each other but through the ears of the one starting the riff, the other was about a second off. Although he is on a wireless connection which is whatv i think may be the problem with that.

WOW, tried it out last night jamming with one of my mates who lives in Scotland. Quality was great. I never even had to use the gnx for my roland drumkit, just ran a lead from the soundmodule direct into the aux in on my soundcard. Hey Duderman, my pc speakers are crap so I just unplugged them and ran a lead from my soundcard output socket into my guitar amp. I could then adjust the EQ and mess around with the onboard FX. Haha, I could almost get my mates guitar to sound how I wanted it without affecting him!!!

i had the sound coming from the headphones pluged into the gnx4... not through my speakers so i don't understand why the quality is how it is. Everyone is saying how good this is yet i can't seem to get it to work correctly.

I tried it the other night with a friend (Mike C.) who has an upload speed of 256kb/s. Mine is only 50kb/s, I think. I say that because that is the speed that I can upload movies. It may actually be faster. When he played, I heard him clearly. When I played, he said it was breaking up. I could hear him clearly. But when we tried to play together, he could not hear me or I could not hear him at the same time. I guess you need to have blazing upload speeds to make this happen. Or am I missing something?
Still looking to make this happen with someone.
