Blue City
 They call you a gumshoe, a private eye. In truth you’re just a guitar slinger down on his luck. It’s 1951 and you spend your days chasing down 2 bit punks and no account dames for anybody with enough cash to get you by.
Your one passion in life (other than a bottle to make you forget just how low the world has sunk) is your beat up guitar. You take it to the local bar to play with a bunch of other losers just like you. It’s the only time you're free from the nagging feeling that you could be more. They are addicted just like you to the blues and jazz of this beaten down town you live in…the place you’ve come to call… Blue City
0Dannyboy & Tal Rules present, \"Blue City\".
 0Dannyboy- Voices, Rhythm Guitars, Bass, Drums (Boss dr-3)

See you posted the final mix..Finally got to hear it and as with all your stuff it's way cool...
Pleasure to contribute with you on this one. Great compostition, Great vocals, Great final mix...
Pleasure to work with you on Blue City and in the future if you ever need an ole wore out jazzer on any of your compositions give me a shout...
See Ya,
Tal
I do have one thing to say. I thought maybe the level of the rhythm guitar should come down some. To my ear, the rhythm guitar kind of overwhelms the song especially during the vocals, and at 3 minutes when tal begins the last lead break. Hope I don't hurt your feelings here, just my opinion. I really did like the chord progression, just thought it a little too loud.
Hope you two post some more together. As I said earlier, both of you are very talented musicians.
8) Thanks for the review and the critic. my friend at work said the same thing. The rythm guitars were \"ripping his head off\" he is not quite as kind as you are. I guess I burned all the mid range out of my hearing long ago at a Black sabbath show
I was think'n just a hint of Steely Dan only in a couple places before I saw the earlier post. -not in a copy way AT ALL.
Again, very cool. Makes me want to delete all my dirty channels.
I played it again...

Yeah, I know what you mean about Black Sabbath, I saw them in the early 80's when they toured with Blue Oyster Cult. Twas billed as the Black and Blue tour and a very loud show indeed. Tony Iommi is still one of my favorite heavy metal style players. Every once in a while, if I am home alone and can crank up the amp volume, I'll play a little War Pigs or NIB. I always thought War Pigs was one of the best war protest songs from that time. \"Generals gathered in their masses just like witches at black masses, evil minds that plot destruction\".... Wow, I still remember lyrics. 8)
Well keep up the good work
Speaking of future works...
I got another one rattlin around my head...
Let you know when I post it..
See Ya,
Tal
Tal, Nice chops! very clean. That's hard to do!
ODB, when you put together that first disk... Make sure I am the first in line! 8)

This song painted pictures in my head from the opening riff. Sleazy hotel room, half-out neon sign blinking monotonously across the street, bottle shattering / dog barking in the distance...
Thanks for posting. What a treat to listen to.

Glad you got a visual on this one granitehead. I always have a mini movie of the songs I write going on in my head...ok maybe hearing the voices a little too much these days
