FYI: thestompbox.net does have a forum

It was brought to my attention on another forum that some of the posts and articles that I've been making are not \"product specific\" for the particular forum and might not therefore belong there.

I agree to a certain point - so I'm posting a note to let you guys know that thestompbox.net does in fact have a dedicated forum area...

We can discuss all the various MFX there and keep things cool.

I'm not trying to take any traffic away from this forum, and only want to redirect for those who might not appreciate the non-product posts.

Please come over and say hello...

I'll still be buzzing around here of course.

  • I can see on other forums when you bring up another mfx people get all bent out of shape...i think its wierd to be so dedicated to one brand an not be open minded to other possibilities. I mean come-on we all know that all these mfx units have positives an negatives...none are perfect and none will be cause thats the manufacturers doing to keep us buying in the future. But i understand what you mean Kewl to keep flaming to a minimun on other lists. I personally like all the mfx i have now and have tried...i like my cybertwin se alot but i get flamed everywhere about it and frankly i could care less.....i like the podxtl-variax and the tonelabse...i am trying to like the gt-8...i feel the options afforded to guitarists are awesome...and EXCITING!..they basically all do the same thing in the end just have different ways of getting the end result..and everyones ears hear different as well as what each person is looking for in tone will vary alot.... I for 1 am not a metal player and those heavy saturated tones do nothing for me but make me have a headache. so when someone says for metal you gotta try the xxx ...i really dont give it creadence...so my point is all mfx are flexible enough for all types of music its just a matter of which one you feel at home with.

As some of you know - I went ahead and purchased a full blown forum for thestompbox.net.

I figured it would be a good way to handle all of the multi-MFX discussions without buggin' anyone. Plus it will be a good, centralized way to talk about site content as I roll it out.

  • Just an FYI - some around here probably wanna know. :)

Due to abyssmal performance and constant issues, I've moved the forum for TheStompBox.Net to a new provider.

Unfortunately, I can't get a database dump from the first forum - ARGH... so please - if you are a member of the first one, please pop over and join me at the new forum.
  • See you there shortly. :)

EDIT: Couldn't sign up, something about membership by approval only turned on or something.
  • K - let me go see what's up.
