GNX3000 for live usage???
Hello everyone!
My main gig rig is a Line 6 Vetta head and cabinet. I also have a Vetta combo that I am looking to replace with a digital pre-amp and tube power amp. I like the Peavey 50/50 for its power and transparency but was looking to run a POD XT through it. However, it may become redundant since I already have a Line Vetta plus I am hearing the Digitech GNX3000 is out of this world. Does anyone knoe how well I could get by at gigs with the GNX into a Peavey 50/50 tube power amp and good cabinet?
I like the Line 6 products because I can get quick results without diving into the post EQ. Usually I can make some excellent gig patches with the amp models and cab sims.
Also, I'd be using the rather flat response speakers that I use for my Line 6 Vetta - the Custom 90 watt Celestions designed for Line 6. These are much better to my ears than the old Eminence modelling speakers made for the old Line 6 Flextone amps.
Thanks!

GNX3k will let you get quick results too, the only \"post-EQ\" on it is the cabinet tuning (and SC if you count that). I've found that the only time I need separate eq for GNX output is when it's going into an instrument input of an amp.

Thanks, I have tried some solid state power amps and didn't like them. The Peavey 50/50 is the best I have found so I'd like to stick with it. My cabinet has Line 6 Celestions for my Vetta and was thinking the POD may be a better better......But since Digitech uses the cab simulations, it should work.
True about the Vetta's speakers...those Celestion 90 watters are something else! With Line 6 amps they are magic and that is why I run the vetta 412. But, I plan on buying an Ear Candy Buzz Bomg cabinet and installing the same Celestions for use with my Vetta. I'll have to run out and compare the Line 6 XT to the GNX 3000 this week and may buy both to take home and return the one I choose not to keep.
For instance this guy who ran the 300 that night. You could find someone who could tweak the vetta even better and blow the GNX3000 guy off the stage, then the you could do the same with a guy who knows the 3000 even better or came up with something better........it never ends. LOL.
