CF card question

so i finally broke down and bought a CF card to save G3456s presets on. is it OK to have the thing plugged in all the time, or should I take it out of the GNX when its turned off?

and how do i get it out - just yank it?

I leave it in all the time, no problem. Just yank it out!

Stupid question but I lost my manual and the online manual isnt very good, but if I buy a Smart Media card, can I download patches to it and plug it into my GNX3 to replace my midi cable? I have too many problems with my midi cable and limited computer use so I cant switch patches anytime I want.

If not, does the GNX4 allow this?

The GNX3 doesn't allow it, but the GNX4 does.

However, you need X-Edit to transfer the patch into the GNX4 and save it on the CF card. You can't simply put the patch in the card as is (an xml file).
