  • :D Thanks for the kind words Matrix.
I think I hear clipping here and there during playback but cant see it on any of the meters. I am still learning this software . I just made the song up as I went throught the software DVD and it turned out pretty I dunno :? my freinds think it s a porn backing track  8) but thats cool I have exercized another song demon living inside my head  so I am free to do what the voices tell me next... whats that stop writing so wimpy:?: ...write a Punk song ...Ya!
  • This tune is really well done and you just kind of made it up as you went along? Amazing. Keep up the great work.
  • Still very good in my book. I'm amazed at how fluid your lyrics are and that they just pour out and your glass never tends to fill. What I mean is that every time I open up a new tune of yours I kinda expect the music to sound the same. The lyrics from one song to run into another. But they don't. Clipping, maybe a little here and there but to be able to put together a tune, time after time, of such quality and with so much potential in such a short period of time is amazing.

    Keep'em Coming ODB,
    Thanks,
    Matrix
  • Your Mix sounds Great!!! You did a nice job with this one!
    IMHO

  • Good picken', Lot's of style. Excellent mix. Great vocals. Good harmony.
What more can you ask for?
    I dig it,
    Good job,

  • :D Thanks guys, I really appreciate the feedback. I had read a few articals recently and desided to try a diffrent approached with the mix. Instead of trying to mix everything at once I mixed just the drums and bass by themselves for a while until I felt like the levels were nice and tight, then the rythm guitar parts were done the same way and added to the mix. lead and finally vocals, I created little ...Submixes (I guess thats what you would call it) to work with so my ears did not have to concentrate on so many levels at once...anyway hope that made sence and I am really glad you enjoyed the song. :D
  • Very impressive, I loved it, great tune and vocals :) What set up did you use for the vocals?
    Congrats!
  • :D Thanks for reviewing S.L.T. Glider 007

?: glider007:\"What set up did you use for the vocals?\"

    I used a Behringer B-1 condencer Mic and a Digitech VX400.
The effects I used were a short delay, some compression, a little reverb also a bit of doubling in the prechorus.
  • :D The song has a cool and mellow sound and I find myself wanting to solo over it haha !! Good Job !!

  • danny your music is always great man. It is so hard for me to write like you write. So i guess that would make me jealous. I do dig your style and vocals and they are always top notch. However I did get the GNX4 and re-did a bunch of vocals. Using the gnx4 for vocals has been insane. You have the vocal 300 right? I have noticed that my vocals are much clearer when I use V-settings on the Gnx 4. I will look for more great tunes from ya. Maybe we can do a song with harmonies some time.

    Another great job...Peace
  • Oh my gosh!
This is soooo good. I didn't get my GNX4 yet and I am listening to all of this GREAT stuff online, so I don't know what the heck I am waiting to get it! Tomorrow I am buying it.
Hey, all of that is recorded through that machine, drums and everything???
  • :D Hey guys thanks for the reviews :D

    armada1:
You have the vocal 300 right?. I have a VX400. It has USB,Mic modeling and some other features the VX300 does not and its only 50 bucks more.
armada1:Maybe we can do a song with harmonies some time. ABSOFREEKINLUTEY!

fcescgb: I use a GNX3 so your new GNX4 should be even cooler! 8)
better conectivty options as well as many new enhancements mine doesnt have. 8)
fcescgb: Hey, all of that is recorded through that machine, drums and everything???
My drums on this song were recorded with a Boss DR-3 a very affordable drum machine. All Guitars and the bass were GNX
vocals, I use a diffrent digitech pedal but most all of my vocal settings can be duplicated on a GNX3 or 4 with a little tweeking :)

Thanks again for the reviews guys hope to see you on the forums posting your stuff soon fcescgb :P
  • what a nice song! :D everything fit together really well! i especially liked the lead sound you got along with the excellent rythem work! vocals were killer too!!! GREAT JOB!! :P lookin' foward to more!!

    scottymoe!!!
  • 0Dannyboy, thanks for your answer. I got my GNX4 before yesterday and i can't believe it how good it is. I don´t even know how it works. I read the book, but there is a lot of stuff. Anyway, I could set up some great tones, and I am kicking some asses already.
Thanks again for your music, and your posts, and I'll keep coming back to expand my knowledge on that machine!
  • 8) I posted a diffrent version of this tune on my wesight. It has my great friend Paul F. on lead guitar noodleing throughout the tune he has some nice licks in there wish I could play like that
  • Danny,
Everything about this tune is outstanding!... musicianship, vocals, clarity. But the mix just superb. Did you put your submixes on separate virtual mains? I'm going to have to try this submix approach. Great job!

  • :?: Did you put your submixes on separate virtual mains?

No. I just used the mute feature. I muted everything exept for the group of instuments I was mixing at the time. I would like to group each individual mix to a master fader once I have the sub mix where I want it but I have not learned how to do that yet. Next tune I will try that. thanks for review and advice Granitehead :)
