hey duderman, my memory (kinda) served me correctly about skip's guitar... it is an esp 7 string with duncan design pick-ups...i felt like a deer cought in headlights when i read your question about our guitars :shock: it was late here in ohio, so i could'nt call him... we've been playing together for over a year now, so after our very first jam together, never gave much thought about his guit-fiddle other than it sounds and plays nice

btw, the emg 81 in my kelly is an older model...i bought it back in '88 and has been in 2 other guitars that i wore out

it does'nt have the wire connection clip that my newer one in my kkv has...all the components are the originals...don't know if it makes any real difference but my kelly does sound a lot different than my v...but this could be caused by weight difference...

we're currently working on our other metallica covers and gettin' them real tight! trying to decide between BATTERY or MASTER OF PUPPETS for our next post if we can find a decent back track for them...been listening to the ones we found at BT FORUM, but if anyone can get better ones, that would be sweet!(revraz, can you help?) would also like to do TRAPPED UNDER ICE!! until then, keep on rockin', mailman!! 8)

thanx, armada1!! we relive those days in all its' metallic glory at every rehearsal!! we love this stuff!!!! :twisted: i just wish i could sing like hetfield, lol!!!! i probably drive Skip nuts when i try while we're jammin'!!

it's all good!! it doesn't matter if someone has done it already or not!! i for one welcome anyones renditions of 'tallica tunes coz everyone takes different approaches/sounds

me and skip, for example, aren't really wanting to do studio perfct versions, but rather live versions without all the overdubs that you can't do live! thats why we chose to do DAMAGE INC. coz what you hear in the post is how we play/sound live 8)
