List your favourite MFX Superseries patches here!

Is there something we can set up for people to list their favourite G3456 patches and they get added up like a poll so people can see what are the most popular patches since there are so many?

If not, why don’t people just list their faves here, and also any tweeks they made that they like. It would be helpful to state whether they are clean, blues, rhythm distortion, lead, etc. I think we should try to limit it to just a few, no point in listing 20 patches!

I’d be interested to see what the man himself thinks, and really interested to see what some Digitech employees like…if they will be so bold!

Also, if anyone comes up with a tweek that they think is spectacular, they could post it in the patch section on the old board.

  • armada upload those last three to the board if you can
  • There are so many amazing patches and I've gone through so few but here are 4 that have really caught my attention: 5150stk, Roadkng, Rockman1 and Dumble.
Actually all the Dumble patches are incredible. The Vox30 patches are incredible too.
Maybe this thread is useless because we may just end up listing every patch.

One thing, I'm disappointed with the acoustic patches. They all sound like a clean guitar patch to me? Anybody else check out the acoustic patches?
  • I just got my Supermodels CD So I've only scratched the surface But out of the Box I love the Legacy VAI the clean tube is awsome I added a spark drive to give some over drive to that channel. I like the punch of the red channel and the control of gain of the EXP pedal but don't know how much I will use that channel at Church. All the Dumbles are awsome!!! Especially EJ. I can't agree about the acoustic patches my RG470 sounds like an Acoustic guitar I use Neck pickup and bring in a lot of the high end in my tone knob and literly can here the strings like an Electric acoustic. I Like them all but using the Ovation this Sunday at Worship. The Rythem Guitar guy is away, so I'm it Actually looking forward to playing rythem not so to do his part he is awsome but its fun to do that every now and again!!! I'll Share more as I know more... Later!!!
  • jay7590, probably we can upload to g3456 website the patches we make.
With his patches. We get full access for 2 years there. So when it is up and running we can share our monster creations. He will be puttin out more patches to. Warping and adjusting you can get really awesome tones. Then FX em to taste.
  • I used the Joan Jett patch last night at a gig and the soundman said he loved the sound from my guitar. I also used the John Cougar patch for a clean sound and it was good too.

I really like the Krank Amp patch that was posted on the public forum....

G3456 is a frickin genius. Totally has taken the GNX experience to a whole new level. If Digitech doesn't reward him significantly its a crime.

Just my opinion on the last part.

  • Do you guys go direct to a PA or to a guitar amp with these patches?
  • while reading through the welcome guide i realized that man, alot of this stuff is way over my head and i just dont have the time to get into it. i cant wait for g3456s website tutorials. i hope he keeps them basic for noobs like me.

my question is - do you guys do alot of tweeking with the models of do you pretty much pull up a patch and use as is?
  • I first use them as they are (as they are quite good) and later I tweak eq and effects to my taste. I've made some other patches from scratch using some of his hypermodels, easy as putting butter on bread.
  •   Just ordered the MFX BASIC SERIES for my GNX3    I am stoked! Anybody know how long it might take to recieve the CDs if you paid with PAY PAL? :?:
  • VIDS....coming to a PC or Home Theater near you! Expanded tutorials of vids will be made available to all in fairness of all users of Digitech products and as others /reps suggested. That site is being tested and will launch fully next weekend. Along the lines of a Video Professor type deal. Additions will be added and are public, other areas are not.

Here is what I have so far...AGAIN THIS IS PUBLIC FOR ALL GNX OWNERS... Vids will be added as edits are completed and uploaded at server. For OCT here is the list of things to come.

    Video Tutorials:
    1. Simple Edits of amp models/patches
    2. Warping techniques... XEDIT tools...importing/exporting
    3. Connecting Via Guitar amp and Balancing presets for usage.
    4. Live connectivity, monitoring, to the PA, console etc.
    5. Assigning and renaming banks
    6. Using effects
    7. Control assignemnts, how and when to use them effectively. More for the GNX4 but may also refer for use with GNX3 etc that have control assign parameters.
