humm i might finally break down and buy some monitors
I will no longer have an excuse for crap mixes (the geetar playings a whole other issue) and i just might be able to save my hearing now
:P Now.... which ones???? Do i need powered speakers? I have a fender passport PD 150, could i / should i power them with this.... it has RCA out, XLR blah, blah blah. Guitar3456 says get ones with 8\" drivers. I also told wifey that i could probably get some for $150. The Truth's are tops in the low cost realm but still too much for me (what $350?) Also am i paying the extra bucks because they are powered and if i power them through my PD will the Alesis sound just as good? I have don't know what else is out there in my range of any quality so i'm just mentioning the ones i read about here. If anyone knows of a better deal please share.
thanks for any help on this

ODanny.... Really you don't have monitors? Your mixes sound extreeemly pro to me. I don't know if you have ever wonderd how they sound on other speakers or not? I have only listened to your stuff on headphones so i don't know if that plays a part in it or not? I do know that when i hear a lot of my mixes on speakers vs. headphones i usually end up thinking... Dang, I just love how that sounds so incredibly crap. I'm so freaking glad i spent hours trying make that sound like that!
Now WHAT on earth did Bernie do to your ears??? If he made yours better, then I want Bernie to fix mine as well - LOL
The Truths come in passive as well as powered (same deal with Alesis). Alesis are pretty good as well. I use the B2031 and have no complaints - so far so good
Peace,
Thomas
