Got Chops?
Well Gentleman. I've added another tune to the board. I named it Got Chops? After you hear it I think you will understand why.
The link for the new tune is the following.

Would have liked to work on the mix a few more days, but the mayor of the little town I live on in Galveston Bay has issued a mandatory evacuation for 6:00 A.M. in the morning due to hurrican Rita. It may be a few days, weeks, who knows before I can get back on the board again.
I've got the chord changes and will post them if anyone wants to try a different lead on the tune.
Had a lot of fun on this one. You know, things just get stuck in your head and wont let you be.
Let me know what you think of the tune and god bless you guys and I'll check back in whenever the next time I can. Hopefully soon.
See you guys,
Tal

Thanks for your interest.
Got to get packing and get out of here.
Hope I've got a home in a few days.
God bless and take care guys.
See Ya,
Tal
We are under MANDATORY evacuation for Seabrook Texas. I'm right on Galveston bay.
Yeah D, I'm heading to Austin. I've got a brother who lives there. Guess I'll be there until they let me back in Seabrook. The only good thing is he plays too. So I'm predicting some pretty hellacious Jam Sessions at his place
I'm going to leave about 2:00 A.M with my wife and 12 year old hoping for the traffic to die down. The news is saying it's about a 12 to 14 hour drive to Austin right now. For the rest of you that don't know, this is normally about a 3 hour drive.
Tried earlier to book a hotel but there is nothing to be had in a 500 mile radius from Houston.
Hopefully we'll have something to come back to.
I told everyone they could take one prize possesion. My wife took her family bible. The kid took his Fender Squire. I of course packed up my ES175.
We are taking a break from packing now, so I thought I'd drop you guys a note. If there's any room at all, my GNX4 will make the trip as well. Hopefully so. 8)
As I said at the beginning of this post, Thanks for your kind comments about \"Got Chops\". That was one of those tunes that just came naturally. It took about 3 hours to get the concept together and about 4 days to devlop the phrasing, etc... for the tune.
Have any more comments about the tune, would love to hear them on this thead.
Well, it's time for me to start pulling the hard drives out of the computers to take with me. Hopefully be able to check this board out in a few days.
See Ya and God Bless.
Tal
good luck take care
D.
I am currently back in Seabrook with hard drives installed and back on line.
As for \"Rita\", what a fiasco. 18 hours on the road with my wife, 12 year old, one dog, My 77 year old parents, just to get to Austin. I could ramble on ad nauseum about my personal feelings about how the evacutation was handled, political personalities, smart ass cops, etc.... but that is not what this board is about. I'll just say, that I will think long and hard about following mandatory evacuation orders the next time. :x
One good thing out of the fiasco. For those of you who live in the Austin Texas area. If you are in the area of Manachaca and William Cannon, there is a Diamond Shamrock store there. Me and my brother were cruising around Friday when we pulled into this convenience store for gas, etc.... We pulled up to the pumps and the only grade of gas left was super unleaded. I said \"Hell with it\" after 18 hours to get to Austin I was definitely in need for the return trip.
There was a sign on the pump that read something like this
\"Hurricane Rita Evacuees!!!!
The mangement team of this station apologises for the lack of other grades of gas besides super unleaded. The management team of this station has decided to sell our super unleaded gas for the price of regular - 5 cents.\"
My jaw amost fell off. I filled up. Then went inside and asked to see the Manager and personally thanked him. Then I bought about $100 dollars of stuff in the store, that I hadn't intended to, then left.
For those of you in the Austin area make sure you trade with this guy and tell him how much the Houston evacuees appreciate his kind heartedness.
Thanks for your concern c4 and D. I appreciate it. And for the rest of you guys that commented on Got Chops? I appreciate that as well. The writings perked me right up after the fiasco.
Thanks,
Tal
