Need some help with midi
As the subject says, I need some help with a midi thing I've noticed LOL
In Sonar 4, after I record a midi track, then go back, add a bridge or something, re-record some stuff, add measures, etc. to a song, I've noticed that the midi track keeps getting longer, and there is midi data out there past the end of the song....and.....when I choose \"show layers\" there are maybe 50 or 60 layers by the end of the song, just 3 or 4 at the beginning.
I know there is something I'm doing wrong, maybe something to do with sound on sound as opposed to overwrite when I'm adding tracks? or something.....can't do a select and cut off the end of the midi track, it just won't do it....when I want to mix down the song, I have to export it to wav, then bring it back in and cut off the end of it.
Has anyone experienced this, or know how it can be avoided?
Thanks for any help,

when I do another midi drum part for a new song, I'll make sure it's set to overwrite before I do ANYTHING to the drum track
