Sonar 4 - Compression on record...

Is there a way to use a compressor when recording guitars or any other instument within Sonar 4? I havnt tried the after editing yet, but if there was a way to record compressed signals at the start it would make things way better.

Cheers for that dude, for those interested... the second link mentions that you need an external compressor inbetween the GNX (or other instrument) and the soundcard when recording in 16bit but you may get some background noise. 24bit shouldnt need a compressor, but you can always add it as an effect.
