I just verified that this is indeed the case. I then opened the g4p file, and removed the <version> tags.
A simply Find and Replace in Notepad (or your favorite text editor) should work fine.
1. Just place the following in the search field:
<Version>Version1</Version>
2. Don't put anything in the replace field.
3. Click Replace All.
4. Save the file.
This will simply remove those items in the source file.
After that, it seemed to convert. The only problem is that I converted it at work, and I can't verify that the converted patch works correctly in the GNX.
If you give it a try, let us know if it works in the unit.
I went to the GuitarOne page on the workstation.com site earlier today and they didn't have the October patches. I received my November magazine yesterday. Why don't they keep up with the magazines that they are sending out?
I just went to the site and the October presets are there. When I click on the link, however, it opens up a XML page that show all the paramaters. In the past it allowed me to download and save the patches. What is going on?
I got it now. I had to right click and select save target as.
Our System Analyst changed the mime type on the web server to view presets in a \"preset viewer.\" I asked him to switch it back to force the download as this seems to be the preferred method for everyone. You shouldn't have to right click anymore.

Ednrg posted my instructions from the other forum.
Someone should really tell them to stop putting those version tags in their files.
