1231 EQ - Stiff faders

Hey there,

I picked up a used 1231 from a friend of mine and it had stiff faders compared to the other 1231's I have. Before I sent it back to my friend, I thought I'd check if this was a common problem with a common solution. All faders are equally stiff and there are no obvious signs of abuse or damage inside or outside the unit.

    It was probably in a dusty/smoky environment...hook it up, fire it up on on a record or tape and see if it works, isn't scratchy when you move the stubborn faders... If so you could probably get by with some WD 40 to clean and lube.

    Caigs gold would be the best thing to use, available @ MCM electronics or other places...
