I have a small system that I added the DRPA to and am quite impressed, the best it's ever sounded!! My question is on crossover settings since my gear is not in the wizard. I set up my gain structure following info from dbx, and set the x-over at 100. I'm not a tech guy so I'm not exactually sure what all to set in the x-over section, please help!!
Setup; (all cheap) Behringer 2414 Eurodesk, DRPA, Behringer EP1500 power amp (280 watts per side @ 8ohms) ran each side into Peavey SP2's full range (frequency response 54Hz to 17kHz, passive crossover 1800 Hz, 8 ohm, 500 watt cont., 1000 program)
Lows; Behringer EP2500 (500 watts per side @ 8ohms) into Peavey SP118's (frequency response 49Hz to 300 Hz, 8ohm, 600 watt cont.,1200 watt program
I hope this is enough info and if not please let me know (I like things simple!)

Bad news / Good news.
Bad news - You are way under powered for those speakers and will really have to pay attention to setting the limiters to allow no spikes to get thought to the amps.
Good news - The under powering is pretty balanced (one bandwidth not out running the other) so you can leave the x-over point at 100hz.

Subs: HPF 50hz BW18, LPF 100hz LR24
Tops: HPF 100hz LR24

If you really want to sound off the chain, get yourself another small poweramp(i.e. QSC RMX850) and setup that system for Tri-Amping. Gadget helped me with mine, and wow what a difference.

Since everything is 8 ohm you could bridge the amps and have 1200 watts for each sub and 700 watts for each SP-2. As Wm says biamping those things really opens them up.

Thanks for the info!! I thought I might be under powered so I'm going to double my amps. Will I have to redo my gain structure? Makes sense that I will, thanks again!

By double my amps.... do you mean twice as many of the same amps? Because bridged @ 8 ohms would be 1300 watts for each sub and 800 watts for each top...NOT an increase of any consequence...but you could run stereo...for what thats worth...but if you ...
add an EP2500 and bi-amp the tops... only problem is the SP2's would kick so much ass you'd need to add 2 more subs and another EP2500 to keep up with them...

I'm running stereo now, if I bridge the amps won't I have to daisychain my speakers? I have a carver 700 watt amp (350 a side) would that be sufficient for the horns?

I wouldn't daisy chain them, I'd recommend running a wire to each of equal length. and yes, that amp would work fine...

I did as you guys said, bridged the amps and added the carver 1250 and am triamping, wow what a differance!! I set up my crossover as best I could (by ear) it seems to be right but what would you suggest the settings be for the tri setup?

Pretty much thew same as the other but with hookup info for the NL 4's.

See, if you had read them you would already be ahead of the curve...I think you should read all the stuff there ... don't you?
